After both ideas were pitched to Sheffield Live!, we received feedback.
Both of the ideas were seen as good concepts that had potential, as they were both for an audience that other products weren't directed at. The idea that was seen as the most likely and best to create was 'Hot 28', this is due to the genre of the show (Hip Hop), need for the product and the potential for interaction with the audience via call ins and social network messages. Sheffield Live! showed us that it would be easier to find guests for 'Hot 28' than 'Half Time', and that there are more local artists who the audience of 'Hot 28' would be interested in than local people related to sports for 'Half Time'.
'Hot 28' would have more potential as there would be more room for development compared to Half Time'

LO5: Copyright, PRS, legal and ethical issues
Copyright:
To avoid any copyright infringements a PRS license will be purchased, we would have to seek permission for music regardless if they are signed to a record label or not. A PRS license would allow us to use the intellectual property of artists and bands. A PRS license will allow us to play any music on air, this will cost £300 and will have to be renewed annually. We would need a PRS licence because the music on the show is contemporary and could be music from the charts.
Legal and ethical issues:
As our product is based on the genre of Hip Hop/Rap, we must be careful about the use of profane language and discriminatory representations, such as sex, drugs and women. The show will not include profanity and will not mock/slander people. The profanity in music will be taken out prior to the show being aired. Interviews on the show will be pre recorded as they can then be edited and any speech that is not suitable for listening will be removed. Songs that contain inappropriate language will be edited and the profanity will be 'bleeped' out.
The legal and ethical considerations would be discussed in a pre production meeting.
For the audio sample, we have permission to use the sounds as the instrumental and song was created using a free sound kit available to download from YouTube. The voices were recorded by us and we had full permission to record/use them from the subjects.

LO5: Contingency plans
If presenters are not available:
When presenters are unable to be on the show, guest presenters will act as a substitute, these presenters will be chosen a week before the show goes on air.
If guests are not available:
If guests are unable to appear on the show, a substitute guest will be called in, if this guest is unable to appear on the show, then the presenters will have to interact with the audience more and deal with the topics themselves.
If equipment is not available:
If equipment is not available, we would have to improvise and remove the segment(s) where that equipment is needed, for example if microphones are not available a playlist of music and pre recorded interviews will play for the entire length of the show.
If the preferred time slot is not available:
The show will have to go in a time slot 1 hour behind, or 1 hour in front of the proffered scheduled time.

Based on the feedback from Sheffield Live there are a few improvements we need to do to improve our ideas however, we have some strengths.
The strength for our products are that both of our products were good and fulfilled a gap in the market which means we would have a good audience and our products would have the right target audience. The areas where we need to improve is decide which product we will create.
We will decide this on which product is best suited for the community and we will need to make sure the music and guests don't use any profanity and stick to OFCOM rules and regulations.
This would mean we would need to pre record any interviews to cut out any profanity if used and we also would need to find clean music so we stick to OFCOM rules.
For our product Half Time we will need to gain more knowledge about different sports and e able to answer any questions asked by the public.
For Hot 28 we will need to find more music and guests for the show because if we keep playing the same music this wont satisfy the listeners.
Local artists such as 'Skinz' and 'Azzy' would have their music featured on the show. As the artists are based in Sheffield, they would tie into the Hot 28 show well, as they can represent Sheffield whilst gaining exposure and becoming more well known amongst the city. Artists who aren't from or based in Sheffield such as 'Mike GLC' could feature on the show as they have done collaborations with artists from Sheffield, this could enable their music to reach more people as well as advertising local talent from Sheffield.

LO3: Consideration of gap in the market/advertisers
Hot 28:
The product is different to what is on the radio at the moment because music played on the show is a mixture of both famous and local artists, the show plays strictly Hip Hop/Rap music.
The show will advertise places such as Sheffield College and Medowhall as these are places the target audience will be interested in. The show will be played from 10PM till 12PM on Friday night, this is hammocked between Aaj Ki Shaam and Dubcentral Live, this slot is chosen because people are getting ready to go out , or will be out whilst the show is aired.
Half Time:
The product is different to the existing radio shows as it focuses on local sports teams based around many different sports ,such as Rugby, Football, Cricket and Ice Hockey and is interested in hearing the opinions of the public. The show will advertise local businesses such as EIS Sheffield, that have some contribution towards the growth of sports in South Yorkshire.
The show will be aired on weekends ideally from 1pm to 2pm as this is the time most sports events are taking place or have happened, so it gives a time to reflect and evaluate what has happened.

LO3: Two Treatments (updated)
Treatment 1 Half Time (Completed by Ahmed):
Treatment 2 Hot 28 (Completed by Junaid):
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FOR BOTH IDEAS:
Hot 28: The show will have new guests in each week, these guests will present new topics that will be spoken about and will recommend music they enjoy. On the show there will be new advertisers each week, for example there could be Barnsley college and Plug. We would generate income through advertising, this would fund the show and be put back into Sheffield Live!. Commercial radio stations charge £1500 for a 30second advert (including production of advert), however we would charge a lot less and think if we made £60 a month for 8 shows we could make the money back spent on the equipment/software, however we expect that we would rely on donations mostly.
Half Time: Each week a different sport will be focused on, one week could be football and the next week could be Rugby. With the new sports there would be a guest who represents this sport from our region. Advertisers on the would be places in Sheffield that contribute towards the growth of sports in Sheffield, such as EIS Sheffield and Sheffield Trophy Centre. We would generate income through advertising, this would fund the show and be put back into Sheffield Live!.
